Easter Sunrise

Yesterday late afternoon was my first Plain Air study for the season. It was a hillside of receding orchard painted from a cemetery at Bethel. After your parting review of this pictured painting i pondered where to begin and decided that the wet earth was going to orange which ‘soured” the chromatic “sweetness” of the pink-red {pushed] blossom theme. So I developed reds in the soil and dispersed orange sorbet tones as recessional light. A weird but lovely solution, "Easter Sunrise”. Thanks, may I discuss painting’s with you by Photo mail ?

I moved orange from the wet earth towards the sky to sweeten the pink.
