Bio
Dad was a lumberman. His experience of Oregon as wilderness informed our generational shift to preservation. We were seven sibling’s wild in the woods. Harold was always busy and very generous with his skills. Adeline saw to that. Mother seemed to embody the civilizing values of the Valley. Her nurturing energy is observed in my Still Life’s.
On break out drives wondering say, the swollen Silver Creek; Dad teaching the names of trees and Mother announcing the seasonal moment are present. Pioneer memories and philosophical reads inspire me. I paint in order to share what I see… Grandmother Veronica, Van Gough, Carr, Lao Tzu and Buddha; these guides towards Beauty, sit me down.
This will do they say.
